Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your data from Dhil.chat ("Dhil"), operated by Vareil, including data we receive when you connect Facebook, Instagram, Messenger or WhatsApp through Meta.

1. Disconnect a Meta channel from Dhil

• Sign in to your Dhil workspace and open Inbox → Channel Setup.
• Find the connected WhatsApp number, Instagram account or Facebook Page and click Remove (or the delete icon).
• Dhil stops receiving and sending messages for that channel immediately and deletes the stored access token for it.

2. Remove Dhil from your Facebook or Instagram account

• Facebook: go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or Apps and websites), select Dhil and click Remove.
• Instagram: go to Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites, select Dhil and click Remove.
• Removing the app revokes Dhil's access to your Page, Instagram account and messages.

3. Delete conversations, contacts or your whole account

• Workspace owners can delete individual conversations and contacts at any time from inside Dhil.
• To delete your entire account and all associated data, email info@dhil.chat from the email address on the account with the subject "Data Deletion Request", including your workspace name and, if relevant, the Facebook Page or Instagram account to remove.

4. What happens next

• We will confirm your request by email and may ask you to verify ownership of the account.
• We delete your account data, connected channel tokens, conversations, contacts and related Meta data within 30 days of a verified request.
• We may keep limited records where the law requires it (for example invoices for tax purposes); these are not used for any other purpose.

5. If you are an end customer of a business using Dhil

If you messaged a business that uses Dhil and want your data deleted, please contact that business directly, as it controls your conversation data. You can also email us at info@dhil.chat and we will forward your request to the business and assist it in deleting your data.
